This past week I have been able to learn how to talk on the spot and be able to communicate my goals to a person who is not likely to be as immersed in the topic. This helped me set a precedent for what it would be like at the symposium. Using the methods I first set for myself, to improve my overall quality of speaking can be reflected in how I was able to converse with other people, serving as a benefit. I do realize the chances of a forensic pathologist being at the symposium are very slim, but it is a matter of me being able to experience and learn how to talk to professionals.
Not only that but I have been practicing different questions I can ask someone varying on their job and the interaction we are building upon. With this, I have finalized my resume and am in the works to get it printed out. This has helped me realize the importance of every detail mattress on a resume and how it should be carried out. Other than prepping myself, I have been working on looking through different articles to help produce further topics I could tell when given an opportunity to talk to a possible meteor. I have been further narrowing down my plan for research, in-depth cancer genetics risk assessment, and molecular autopsy. I am very excited to see the process of the symposium and how it pans out.
