As the prior week began, I wrote multiple emails to various departments in the hopes of receiving a response. As the week progressed, I was able to schedule three interviews with forensic pathologists to help with my research. With all of my interviews, I was immersed in the area I had been researching for the past few months and was able to witness it play out in front of me.
I used the same layout for questions in several interviews to see what the overall consensus was. Some of my queries focused on the autopsy process, which may be divided into external and internal exams. Some of my questions centered on the autopsy process, which may be divided into external and internal exams.
Each one is performed in order to determine the reason and manner of death. I was able to study how the legal system related to the medical examiner's office, which is mostly focused on criminal matters. I learned more about the aspects of appearing in court as an expert witness in front of a jury. The goal of it all is to convey the evidence you discovered during the autopsy and provide details about how the death occurred. This helped with some confusion over the biases that could be instilled after witnedsiing the damage to the body, because almost always the case results are not provided to the pathologist. This is because their viewpoint is not based on attaining justice or putting someone in jail, The entire notion is to accurately display the evidence one has obtained..
I've started working on the layout of my initial work with the interview in order to make a well-thought-out piece.
